San Diego Brazil Fest w/ Daniela Mercury

The San Diego Brazil Fest (Day Event at Liberty Station) and Daniela Mercury (Night Event at 4th & B)will bring activities for the whole family during the day and including sports & fitness workshops as well as non-stopping dancing with the show of “Queen of Axe” Daniela Mercury, direct from Brazil.


Brazilian Productions is putting on San Diego Brazil Fest, this event is a pre-event to the 21 and up Daniela Mercury concert. On October 15th Zumba, Yoga and Caporeria instructors will be offering free workshops at Brazil Fest in Liberty Station. The lively and festive event will include food, entertainment and free classes offered by some of the best instructors in San Diego.

Sports and fitness workshops will be available free of charge at San Diego Brazil Fest. Participators should be prepared for a day full of fun and exercise. This event will be very up beat and energetic with Latin music and dance classes of every kind. There will be a Fit Floor that offers workout programs and classes that includes many Latin-inspired classes. The Fit Floor will have 45 minute classes of Samba-Axe, yoga, Zumba, Capoeria, and CP training.

From 10:00am to 4:00pm there will be music, food and entertainment for those of all ages. Brazil Fest will have some of the best MMA and JiuJitsu instructors in San Diego holding demonstrations that everyone is welcome to watch. There will also be soccer workshops which is a huge sport in Brazil, many love this sport with a crazy passion.

Christine Portella, CEO and founder of Brazilian Productions is really excited about this event. This year Brazil Fest will have better dance workshops then in the past. “Be prepared to have the workout of your life with the rhythms of Brazil percussion.” The Samba Axe instructor will be from the group RAIZ BRAZIL which is considered to be the best one on the west coast. Yoga will be taught by an instructor from the Evolve Movement, Namaste Yoga Center.  Portella describes CP training as “One of the most traditional workouts in Rio de Janerio. Rodrigo da Matta will showcase his technique and people will be able to participate in one of the most amazing classes.” The new craze of Zumba will also have a workshop and participators will be “Dancing to the tunes of Sergio Mendes as well as many other Brazilian songs.”

Brazilian productions is “bringing Brazil 2 U” on October 15th. Participators should be sure to be prepared with their workout gear and pumped up attitude for this day of culture, dance, and music.
