Perhaps the most successful band of all time, The Beatles continue to attract countless fans across all continents and generations. Due to this everlasting interest, the Oceanside Museum of Art presents the Art After Dark Beatles Tribute on Friday, June 17 from 7 to 10pm. From ‘60s fashion and dance to live art and body painting, this will be a unique experience for all attending, but especially for those with a penchant for all things Beatles.


The focal point of this San Diego museum event will be the display of legendary photographs of the mega group, both modern and vintage. Works will include those of acclaimed photographer Annie Lebowitz and Linda McCartney. This will be a rare opportunity to view this extraordinary collection, provided by VPV Photographs Collection.


For the fashion-lovers, designer Stacie May will be debuting her collection ‘Eternal Reverie’, made up of mod ‘60s-inspired masterpieces. You may even get to take a few treasures home, as Ron Brillantes and Chris Monson will be providing a fashion and trunk show. Setting the vibe will be live music by San Diego’s greatest Beatles tribute band, HELP.


Art will be embraced in many different forms at this Beatles Tribute event. Monty Montgomery will be doing a live painting before your eyes while Edward Manansala shows off the interactive art of body-painting. A John Lennon magazine collage group mural project will be provided by Bryan Snyder and the OMA sculpture lounge will showcase Beetles created of found objects. Guests will have a chance to view a documentary film that features the Beatles in concert, along with a ‘60s dance performance by the Fred Astaire Dance Studio.


The Art After Dark Beatles Tribute at the Oceanside Museum of Art is 21 and up, with tickets costing $20 for OMA members and $25 for non-members.
