But the tell-tale sign that summer has arrived is the return of Memorial Day Weekend madness. This year, the parties are hotter than ever. Two days of Intervention at Hard Rock? We’ll take it! I Love This City Festival? Please and thank you! Then there’s the weekend line-up at Bar West, Steve Aoki at House of Blues and the notorious Sing, Dance, Crawl from The Local. Friday, May 25th

Friday Night Lights at Eden

The Hillcrest nightclub embraces some wild Memorial Day Weekend action with the premiere of sizzling Friday Night Lights. Head to the dance floor for beats by DJ Luis Perez and DJ/Producer Manny Lehman. At the bar or on the patio, throw back some sweet shot specials. Free cover for military with ID all night.

 

Saturday, May 26th

Sing, Dance, Crawl at The Local

The Local kicks off their infamous Memorial Weekend pub crawl with a whole new crew of downtown hotspots. They’re making partying a breeze by eliminating the hassle one might normally encounter on a weekend night by throwing this party in the middle of the day. After checking in at The Local, Sing, Dance, Crawl moves to House of Blues with Rock Out Karaoke at 1pm. Next, the crawl heads to FLUXX at 3pm with beats by DJ Scooter and then grooves on over to GuestHouse at Stingaree. Tickets cost $35 for a shirt and wristband entry to all the bars.

 

Intervention Saturday with Lil Jon at Hard Rock

Known for having the top DJs in the world, Intervention Sundays have earned the reputation as wildest pool party in all of San Diego. Memorial Weekend just got a whole lot crazier with the addition of a Saturday Intervention featuring DJ and remixer Lil Jon. Whaaat? Yeeeahh! Lil Jon kicks off the weekend with his DJ set, poolside. Grab your itsy-bitsy-bikini and shake it with the rest of San Diego’s party people.

 

Sunday, May 27th

Intervention Sunday with Steve Aoki at Hard Rock

Missed your pool party fix on Saturday with Lil Jon or just craving more? Intervention Memorial Weekend madness continues on Sunday with electro-house DJ Steve Aoki. Get in on the pool party action as party-goers stir up the dance floor, lounge in the day beds and strut their best beach stuff. Aoki fans will swoon at the hits from his newest album “Wonderland,” featuring collaborations with will.i.am, Kid Cudi, Lil Jon, LMFAO, Travis Barker and more.

 

Fortune’s Memorial Day Pool Party at Ivy Rooftop

Fortune’s Pool Party series returns for 2012, and kicks off the summer with a mega-pool bash set on the Ivy Rooftop. Head to the Andaz Hotel for a full day of sunshine, house music, fashion, dancing, poolside lounging and tons of San Diego local party people making it a weekend to remember. Headliner DJ Dan will provide the jams, along with local DJs on the decks including Theron, G*Roy, J-Sin, Chris Liosi, and nationally-recognized artists Frances and Mikie Smithers.

 

Steve Aoki at House of Blues

It’s true—Steve Aoki partied and spinned at Intervention earlier in the day. But by night, he takes House of Blues by storm. Amplified Access presents Aoki’s unstoppable show full of electro-house beats you can’t help but dance to. The show will also feature opening sets by Mr. Nice Guy, Luke Skyy and Justin Campbell. It’s an 18 and up show, with full bar access for the 21 and older.

 

I Love This City Music Festival at Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre

The massive music festival takes over San Diego’s Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre on Sunday, May 27th, just after it stops in San Francisco. The line-up features over 21 artists spinning back-to-back, spotlighting some of the biggest names in the industry. In one day, you’ll have the chance to see and hear Skrillex, A-Trak, The Crystal Method (DJ Set), Dirty Loud and 12th Planet. Party-people can also shimmy and shake to Brodinski, Cookie Monsta, AC Slater, No Body, Deth Hertz and many more. The show is 16 and up with full bar access for 21 and up only, presented b Live Nation and LED Presents.
